Eliminating Frizzy Hair: The Dryer Sheet Tip

Frizzy hair is something that many girls and women "suffer" from.
It's also something that many girls and women spend a lot of money trying to remedy.
If you want to stop spending a lot of money on countless expensive products, have no fear! I have a quick and easy (and somewhat strange) solution!

Dryer sheets.

Yep, you heard me: dryer sheets.

Dryer sheets are meant to eliminate static in the dryer. Since frizzy hair is mainly caused by static in your hair, try smoothing it over with a dryer sheet! I have the kind that I use in my laundry pictured here, but any brand will do.

Simply place the dryer sheet on your hand, and grab pieces of your hand and smooth it over with the sheet. Do this all over your head until most of your frizz is gone! If you have a lot of hair, or very thick hair, you may need two sheets. I have fallen in love with this technique and find it extremely effective.

I hope this works out for you too! Comment below if this worked out for you!

Review: Benefit "They're Real!" Mascara

Something that I have heard raved about on almost every blog is the Benefit "They're Real!" Mascara.

In all honesty, every beauty-related YouTube video and blogpost I have seen mentioning this mascara has been an absolute rave review.
Also, since this mascara was $23, I expected it to be wonderful.

Sadly, I was disappointed. Especially after all the hype!
Luckily I received this mascara in a set from Sephora as a gift, so I didn't spend my own money on it.
This mascara did lengthen my lashes, but not to the extent that many other mascaras do.
I did not notice much added volume, because this really clumped my eyelashes together.

Now, the clumping was not awful. . . I've tried worse.
But I did not receive the amazing effect I thought I would.
I tried this product for about a week before deciding I just could not make it work for me. I am actually giving it to my mother who loves this mascara!

Overall I'd say the formulation was in the middle of wet and dry, but more towards the wet side.
The brush has alternating short and long rubber bristles, and is about mid-sized.
Also notable is that the mascara itself is very black, which is always great!

One thing I did love about the mascara was the neat "spikey ball" on the end which could be used to tackle those inner-corner eyelashes.
As you can see from the photo, upon pulling the brush out, there is a dollop of product on the end, but I find this happens with many mascaras, and it is easily wiped off on the edge of the tube.
My biggest complaint was that my lashes seemed more chunky or clumpy, instead of separated and natural. (Well...as natural as mascara can look anyway.)

That's just my personal opinion/review on this mascara! As I said before, I've heard so many people (including my mother!) rave about this mascara. Therefore, if you were really dying to try out this mascara, I'd say still go for it! But if you were more n the fence about it, I'd say, save your money, and try something from the drugstore. I absolutely love drugstore mascaras! What's your favorite mascara?

Nail Colors: Essie Borrowed&Blue

Essie Borrowed & Blue

Today I painted my nails with one of my favorite colors, Essie's Borrowed & Blue! As spring is starting to roll in where I live, I'm definitely getting more in the spring mood.

I love pastels for spring (and summer!) This light, creamy blue color is unique and fun.
It was completely opaque with two coats. The color is very creamy looking and contains no shimmer.
Definitely one of my favorite colors and the formulation is great!

Fashion Post: Spring Neons! + a Review

As always, bright colors are a must have for spring as well as summer. Something that I really loved seeing last year, were "pop of color" neons. What I think is the best and most do-able way of incorporating bright colors into your wardrobe, is by adding a bright statement bag! Adding a bright, fun bag is a bit easier to pull off than a highlighter orange top or some neon shorts (at least in my opinion). Having a bright and colorful bag is also a great idea because you can incorporate it into many different kinds of outfits, and it can also be used to spruce up some more basic pieces in your wardrobe.

Now, if you are anything like me, you like to invest more money into good, sturdy, classic pieces that you can wear year-round and for many years to come. But...you are more hesitant to splurge on pieces that are more on the trendy side, or that you won't wear through multiple seasons.

But have no fear! Target recently came out with some gorgeous, higher quality, neon bags! Now, you may be thinking "Target? I'd really prefer a quality bag that won't fall apart." Not to worry, these bags really surprised me; their quality is amazing for the price.

These Merona Turnkey Crossbody's are a little under the $30 mark. They are available in this neon pink, a nice yellow, and an almost kelly-green color. Obviously these are not real leather, but the faux leather that these are made of feels really nice. They have gold hardware, and a partial-chain crossbody strap.

They have two internal compartments which is nice for organizing, and a fun internal pattern which adds a nice touch. I have already used this bag and I received so many compliments on it. (Some people even thought it was Kate Spade.)

Though it may still be winter, I'm dying for spring! I went out wearing a basic white shirt, with black pants and black riding boots and threw this baby on my shoulder. Adding this accent piece really made the outfit look more put-together and fashionable. I think that adding this bag to a plain white tshirt and some jean shorts wold be an easy go-to outfit in the spring and summer, while still looking a bit more fashionable!

I cannot say enough good things about this bag, especially the price! The deal seems even sweeter when you compare it to other similar bags, such as the The Cambridge Satchel Company's Fluro Collection which runs for almost $200. If it weren't already obvious, I love this bag, and bright bags in general! If you're interested, I'd run to your local Target to give these bags a look! And ASAP!! My Target store is almost completely sold out of them already! Leave a comment below telling me what ways you like to incorporate bright colors for spring and summer.
